A warm welcome from the medical room at Fairfield School.
The team based here consists of 4 registered sick children’s nurses, 1 health care support worker and 1 support worker. The combined team has a wealth of experience in caring for children with complex/additional needs.
We are here between the hours of 9am and 3.30pm for any queries regarding your child/children and will always be happy to help guide and support you. If we cannot help we will endeavour to signpost you to the team or person who can help you.
Each child at Fairfield School has a named physiotherapist who looks after their therapy needs both in school and at home. Your child may work with a variety of therapists in school but the main therapists that are based within school are Gemma Boon and Jillian Egan. Both therapists are well experience and assess children with regards to their postural care, equipment needs and provide individualized therapy programs when deemed necessary.
The physiotherapy team works with pupils alongside education staff and other professionals to maximize their physical potential. Orthotics clinics are run in school and children assessed and provide with appropriate orthotics if needed.
